Takuji Yamashita

After completing his graduate studies at Kyoto University, Takuji Yamashita worked on relay design at Matsushita Electric Works Ltd. He obtained his patent attorney qualification in 2001 and joined Shinjyu Global IP the same year. He handles patent filings, examinations, and opinions across a wide range of fields, including mechanical, control, and electrical engineering. His drafted specifications have been highly recognized, earning him multiple Excellent Specification Awards. Since 2008, he has served as a lecturer for JIPA training programs and was honored with a Distinguished Service Award in 2018. In 2002, he participated in a training program in South Korea, and he continues to approach his work with an international perspective, leveraging his multilingual abilities.

Speaking Engagements:
Since 2008, he has served as a lecturer for the Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) training course “Writing Inventive Specifications with a Focus on Essentials (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering).” In recognition of his contributions, he received a Distinguished Service Award from JIPA in 2018.

International Experience:
In 2002, he participated in training programs at YOM ME Patent Firm and GIP KOREA in South Korea, gaining exposure to local patent practices, and studied Korean at Yonsei University Language Institute.
