Philip Sheng-Hao Toung is a member of the technical staff. He holds a BASc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, specializing in fields of telecommunications, IT, and signal processing, and he holds an MBA from McGill University. He has been involved in the intellectual property field since 2007, prior to joining Shinjyu GLOBAL IP in 2009. He currently assists in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications relating to software, IT, electrical and mechanical inventions. In recent years, Philip has also extended his practice to offering a broad range of support to tech start-ups and helping the start-ups build patent portfolios that are useful as strategic assets.

Philip passed the U.S. patent agent exam in 2010 (unregistered). He is a Chinese-English bilingual, who also speaks fluent Japanese.
